Brady continues to turn back the hands of time with a win over the Cowboys 19-3

Tampa Bay- Despite the key injuries that the Bucs have suffered early on, Brady still found a way to help his team pull out a victory over the Cowboys.

Who would have thought that Tom Brady will be back under center this season after announcing his retirement earlier this year? On Sunday against the Cowboys Brady became the oldest quarterback to start at 45 years old and was very excited to be back on the field. One factor that was different for Brady that he was not used to was not having his safety net in his center Ryan Jenson, as Jenson was going to miss the entire season with a knee injury he suffered in preseason.

For the most part, Brady looked like he did not lose a step in the first half. He was mostly accurate with throwing the ball to his wide receivers in stride and in some very tight windows. Even though the Bucs were moving the ball down the field at will, their offense stalled with punching the ball in the endzone and had to settle for four Ryan Succop's field goals the entire half; walking into the locker room with a 12-3 lead.

At the start of the second half, the Bucs' injuries grew. Their deep threat wide receiver Chris Godwin left the game with a hamstring injury and did not return. That was a huge loss to the Bucs as they struggled to find some type of rhythm with jump starting their offense. Tampa finally got an energy jolt and a touchdown, with a Brady five-yard hook up with Mike Evans to extend their lead to 19-3 with three minutes left in the third quarter.

Let's talk about the Bucs' defense. In three quarters, Tampa held Dallas to 89 yards through the air and forced Dak Prescott to be uncomfortable. Their offensive line could not hold their water and had trouble blocking the Bucs' pass rush. The fourth quarter was more like a ground and pound aspect. The Bucs were very conservative with throwing the ball down the field and chewed a lot of clock with their running attack. Tampa Bay went on to earn their first victory of the season.

Brady finished 18 out of 27 for 1 touchdown and 1 pick

Leonard Fournette had 21 carries for 127 yards
