Black Girls Rock Fest returns March 10 at the Kennedy Center

Women’s month is on the way and so is the Black Girls Rock festival. The Black Girls Rock Fest will make its return during women’s international weekend, starting March 10 -12 at the Kennedy Center for performing arts.


Beverly Bond, who is the CEO of Black Girls Rock created the Black Girls Rock Fest to complement the Black Girls Rock brand, advancing its essential mission to foster vibrant spaces for black women-centered content. This will be the fourth installation for the fest that has s great line up of seasoned and new artists. Grammy nominated singer Alice, Grammy winner Estelle, JADE NOVAh NAACP award recipient will also grace the stage.


There will also be a music series called BGR fest after dark, which is a dj series that will introduce a new platform where black girls bond. A new digital platform that will showcase Maimouna Youssef aka Mumu Fresh, DC’s own Be’la Dona Band. Rising star Kenya Vaun Philadelphia artists AAries will grace the who rocks next stage. The Amours and harpist Kayla Ortiz will make their first appearance on the rock like a girl stage dedicated to newcomers.
