Authentic wins the 2020 Kentucky Derby

Louisville, KY- Authentic did just enough to hold off Tiz the Law at the end of the race to win the Kentucky Derby.

The Kentucky Derby got underway after being postponed due to COVID-19. No spectators were welcomed and jockeys had to protect their mouths with face coverings. Before the start of the race, Tiz the Law was the favorite horse to win the Kentucky Derby. A lot of fans, thought Tiz the Law was the fastest horse on the track. He just dominated and won the Belmont in June and is the only horse that has a chance at the Triple Crown this year.

As the gun sound, Authentic jumped into the lead with Tiz the Law on the right side of him. Authentic had at least a two length lead over Tiz the Law as they were coming off the turn. However, things got interesting as Tiz the Law started to pour it on down the stretch. Authentic did just enough to hold off Tiz the Law, as Authentic wins the Kentucky Derby.
