Atlanta Hawks win the NBA Lottery and will draft with the number one overall pick

For the second time in franchise history, the Atlanta Hawks own a first overall pick which the NBA lottery made sure the Hawks had for this year’s 2024 NBA Draft.  The NBA Draft Lottery took place in Chicago this afternoon, and with a 3% chance of winning, Atlanta now owns the first overall draft pick for the second time in franchise history.  A two-night draft event kicks off on Wednesday June 26th at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY for the first round, and the second round taking place at ESPN’s Seaport District Studios on Thursday June 27th.  Amongst many featured players that the Hawks will consider are International experienced Center, Alex Sarr from France, NCAA Champion Stephon Castle, sharp-shooter Reed Sheppard, a potential superstar point guard in Rob Dillingham, and many more.
