Angel Reese named in TIME100 Next list

Angel Reese was named to the TIME100 Next list Wednesday morning as an innovator after being nominated by WNBA’s Candace Parker. The TIME100 NEXT list requires research across the global network of editors and correspondents. The TIME100 Next list includes athletes, scientists, CEOs, artists and astronauts among many other accomplished individuals. Angel Reese now joins others such as Jalen Hurts, Kelsea Ballerini, Rose Zhang and Ronald Acuna Jr. along with many more.

Reese is a star women’s collegiate basketball player that captivated all audiences last season averaging 23.0 points per game and 15.3 rebounds per game and setting a NCAA record with 34 double-doubles in a season. She led LSU to their first ever women’s national championship and was the 2023 Most Outstanding Player in the Final Four. Among many awards, Reese was named BET Sportswoman of the Year and won an ESPY for Best Breakthrough Athlete.
