Adika Makes Franchise History for the New York Liberty

The Ny Liberty selects Okako Adika, who went to USC is a 6-0 guard/forward No. 30 overall selection in the 2023 @wnba Draft Presented by State Farm at spring studio in New York City on Monday April 10.

Okako Adika has made franchise history by becoming the first USC draftee. Adika who’s a Denmark native had one of her best games in February scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds at one of the most important times of her college career while her team scrambled to keep it together will be remarkable to watch this season.

“Okako Adika is a promising talent who we’re really excited about,” said Liberty General Manager Jonathan Kolb. “As a versatile 3-and-D wing with familiarity in a pro-style offense, she’s someone who we can really use down the line."
