Aces defeats the Dream, 89-79

Bradenton, FL- Jackie Young had 18 points to help the Las Vegas Aces defeat the Atlanta Dream 89-79.

Aja Wilson had another superb game, as she had 21 points, 2 assists, and 8 boards. Wilson dominated the Dream on the weak side and gave her team some valuable minutes. However, Wilson had four turnovers in the game. Turnovers seemed to plaque the Aces this season and it almost turned the game around late in the second half. The Aces had eight turnovers, which turned into 10 fast break points for the Dream. Luckily, the Aces had a couple defensive stops, which stopped a potential Dream comeback.

Jackie Young had an outstanding game, as she got into rhythm very fast. Coming off of curl plays, she was hitting her mid-range shots, as well as hit a couple of deep threes. Young finished the game with 18 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. One of the key factors that got the Aces the victory was their shooting. Collectively, the team shot 52.4% from the field and had five players in double figures.

With the regular season winding down and the Aces sitting in the third seed in the Western Conference being a game and a half back from Seattle, it will be interesting to see if they have enough in their tank to pull a couple more wins out and hope that Seattle drops two games to fight for the first seed.
