Aces are stunned by the Mercury and face an elimination game

Las Vegas- The Aces were defeated by the Mercury 87-60.

After being stepped on by a 60% Diana Taurasi, who scored 37 points in Game 2, the Aces wanted to insert their dominance inside the paint early on. However that was not the case. For some strange reason, the Aces have not looked like the Aces and in Game 3, you could see that they had no answer for the Mercury.

From start to finish, the Mercury not only threw a blow to the Aces, but it looked like a power shot that shocked and stunned the Aces. Aja Wilson got into foul trouble early on and never really got into the flow of the game. She finished with only eight points. While the aces were dealing with shots not falling, they could not contain an emerging star for the Phoenix. Brianna Turner turned on the heat and ripped the Aces to shreds with her outside shooting. Turner was hitting her outside shots and making the Aces' defense look very bad. She finished with 23 points.

Frustration seemed to settle in with the Aces after the game, as they walked to the locker room down 2-1 in the series, with their back against the wall. If the Aces want to force a Game 5, they have to get back to playing Aces basketball and not turn the ball over.
