76ers' eight game win streak snapped
The Indiana Pacers beat the Philadelphia 76ers 132-126 in an NBA In-Season Tournament game on Tuesday night and snapped Philadelphia's eight-game winning streak. Tyrese Haliburton had 33 points and 15 assists and no turnovers for the second consecutive game. Obi Toppin chipped in 27 points Myles Turner added 17 points — including 15 in the fourth quarter.
Joel Embiid scored 39 points and De'Anthony Melton added 30. Tyrese Maxey was held to 27 points on 9-of-23 shooting after scoring a career-high 50 points against the Pacers on Sunday. Even though both teams played hard, the Pacers bench made a difference outscoring the 76ers bench 33-6.
When asked about the game tonight Coach Nick Nurse said: Sometimes, the ball is just not bouncing your way,” Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said.
My personal opinion, I feel like the 76ers have improved after the James Harden trade with a 6-1 record. Maxey has the green light and should be an All-Star this year. Tobias Harris is back active again not standing in the corner for 3s and Joel Embiid is looking to capture a second consecutive MVP. This team is more dangerous moving the ball around and not having one ball dominant person. The only negatives I see is bench scoring and injuries. With Kelly Oubre Jr out for a while and Embiid's injury history let's hope the injury bug stays away from the team. Other than that, I can definitely see them making finals run.
